S&T wins large order from Macedonian Ministry of the Interior July 11, 2006 - S&T System Integration & Technology Distribution AG will assist the Macedonian Ministry of the Interior with the implementation of a digital police radio system. The project will be financed by the EU and is one of the biggest consulting deals of the year in Macedonia.
In future, the IT solution developed by S&T for the new radio system will support the Macedonian police as they carry out their duties both in the interior of the country and in border regions. S&T's main task will be to monitor the procurement and complete installation of the new high-security radio system and to provide advice. The future digital radio system is based on TETRA standards, which are among the leading digital mobile radio standards in the world. S&T will provide system design support, and assistance in connection with the guidelines and technical specifications, as well as the warranty and maintenance details of the delivery contract for the radio system. S&T will also be responsible for providing technical support and project management during the implementation period and commissioning. "This project is a very good illustration of how the S&T Group can generate greater synergy effects in future with cross-border industry expertise and high-margin services and solutions," said Christian Rosner, CEO of S&T AG.
