Dalet Delivers Enhanced Support for HD Radio

September 20, 2006 – Dalet Digital Media Systems, a provider of media management tools, has announced enhanced support for HD Radio and simplified Podcast distribution.

Dalet flagship radio products Dalet 5.1 and DaletPlus Radio Suite now support the iBiquity encoder enabling Program Associated Data (PAD) or Main Program Service data to be automatically transmitted during broadcast. As a result, programs broadcast with Dalet 5.1 and DaletPlus Radio Suite can dynamically update HD Radio receiver screens to inform listeners of what’s currently playing. This OnAir plug-in also supports RDS for FM, PAD for DAB and XML for web streaming platforms.

“Dalet is actively engaged along with iBiquity to ensure the swift and successful adoption of HD Radio technology explains Stephane Guez, Chief Technology Officer, Dalet Digital Media Systems. It was all the more natural for us to make our products HD compliant that radio remains a strategic market for Dalet; providing best of breed solutions to broadcasters is the cornerstone of our value proposition.”
